The Royal Mint is the official mint for the United Kingdom. It also produces coins and medals for other countries in the world. In its over a thousand-year history, the Royal Mint has been a significant part of the British empire, the United Kingdom, and its people. Today the Royal Mint offers tours to its museum facility in Llantrisant, Wales as part of the Royal Mint Experience. They also produce commemorative gifts as part of their portfolio aside from their coins and bullions.
