Ballard Designs offers standard shipping and a host of shipping and delivery methods. Standard shipping applies to smaller items and is calculated based on the total amount of the item(s) bought. Orders under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value. Orders $200.01+ will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $300.
All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product before any discounts are applied.
Larger items would require truck delivery. Ballard Designs offer 2 kinds;
Threshold Truck Delivery where the items are unloaded by the delivery team and placed inside the first-floor doorway, garage, or covered area of your choice. If your home is a condominium or apartment building, the items will be delivered inside the residence.
In-Home Truck Delivery where the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed. Do note that assembly is not included.
There is also Ship-to-Store where you can pick-up your online purchases at a Ballard Designs store near you. Do note that not all items can be delivered via this method. For more information about the shipping and delivery policy see here.
Ballard Designs has a "Love it or Send it Back" return policy and satisfaction guarantee. If you are unhappy with your purchase simply return the item within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or a refund (less the shipping and delivery charges).
They also offer a risk-free 30-day trial of items in their "Stylish Steals" section. If you're not 100% sold, they will refund the purchase price including the shipping costs. "Stylish Steals" items are top-rated and best-selling products so Design Ballard is certain that you'll love your stylish steals and will not want to return them
To return an item, check to see its dimensions and weight. Smaller item(s0 may qualify for Easy Returns via UPS. Fill out sections one, two, and three of the packing slip and include it with the item you are returning. Securely pack your return item and use the UPS Return Service label to your package. the label is prepaid and only costs $8.95. Drop off your package to any UPS drop-off location. You can also send the package with a mail courier of your choice. make sure to use one with tracking and insurance to protect against loss or damage.
